Cuban Yarisley Silva won in Stabhochsprung International Meeting hosted by Postdam, Alemania, she scored 4.70m

Yarisley arrived Germany preceded by a promising indoor season, and was highlighted as main favorite as soon as German athletes Martina Strutz (2nd in Daegu) and Silke Spiegelburg declined their participation.

Her competition was highlighted based on first attempts over 4.42, 4.52 and 4.70.After that, she had not success over 4.80 but she won the challenge easily. She was followed by Bonde Holm who scored 4.42(new indoor record for Denmark) and Annika Roloff who scored 4.42 too. Out of podium was Julia Hutter with 4.32.

Yarisley, has been followed by press mostly latest times. She has performed an excellent winter season, she has improved her marks and more important, she´s stable on her marks, even when it´s the first indoor season in her career.

Her last record was made last Tuesday in Lievin. France; where she scored 4.71m to settle temporarily in 5th place in the world ranking. These performances and her current fitness open chances to aspire to get a medal in the next Indoor World Championship in Istanbul. Turkey. It will take place from next March 11st.

Next Saturday, Cuban Lazaro Borges will not be in Postdam as he had been announced due to shoulders pain. Vice-world Champion is fine, he´s just taking less risks to face next compromises and to keep his fitness in order to achieve a good performance in World Championship in Istambul, Turkey.Actually his main important event of the season. Next girl challenge will take place in Stockholm next 23.Sweeden. Roster includes besides Cubans, Holly Bleasdale, Anna Rogowska, Yelena Isinbayeva, Nicole Buchler, Malin Dahlstrom, Monika Pyrek and Minna Nikkanen
